I have unexpectedly added to my pack! Reilly now has a buddy. “Hope” is a 2-year-old Vizsla (perhaps mix) that has been homeless for 6 months, in rescue and foster homes. She was pregnant and emaciated when found in a woods in January. Tough to find forever homes for these super high-energy dogs. The person who called me about Hope did not know that my first dog was a Vizsla. (I write about Kiva in “Pack Leader Psychology.”) So the universe brought another Vizsla into my life. Hope is sweet and playful, but very smart, just like the others of that breed I’ve known. Now starts the training and many miles of runs and walks to keep her exercised! Volunteers welcomed!
